Basically, the rate that the capabilities of technology increases is about  double every year, year and a half.

So, it’s rate is increasing along an exponential curve, which is going to get to a point where new technologies are created pretty much instantly, bringing on the technological singularity and resulting in an “intelligence explosion”. Which sounds cool.

Nutritionists are not to be trusted.

Are people not aware that literally anyone can call themself a nutritionist. The term is not protected. I could put ‘nutritionist’ on my resume and nothing can be done about it. It’s like bounty hunter or homeopath; you just have to call yourself one to be one.

If you want advice from someone that actually knows their shit, talk to a dietitian.

All the magazines with the how-to-lose-ten-kilos-in-a-day diets are full of absolutely bullshit from so-called experts with no more actual qualification than a highschooler.

In the event of war

North Korea is threatening America and South Korea and whether either decide to take action isn’t really the point of this post but I’ve just been thinking

Australia, whilst we’re allied with America, is more or less safe in the event of war because there would be no point in bombing Australia. Bombing us would be too expensive given how few of us there are.
